That is wonderful that your school district supports the use of the Ipad. How do you work out the network, online issues? I received two Ipads through a grant and our district will not allow it to access the web through our network or pay for 3G service, therefore the Ipad is just an expensive gaming tool. I have to sync and buy Apps on my own Itunes account from home. Please tell me how you got them to support it!
Ruth- Luckily, I received the money for the iPads and Apps through a foundation supported by our school district (the BBH Schools Foundation). Because they supported this and because our district added wireless internet this year, I did not have a problem with getting connected. If I were you, I would begin showing your district all of the awesome blogs, articles, and tweets about how to use the iPad in class as a learning tool. Maybe you can sway them that way? Good Luck!

That was awesome...loved interacting with you and the kids. May try whenever we go back to school...
